Welcome to Capitol Sew and Sew - a site devoted to nurturing the next generation of sewers, knitters and crocheters - or to re-engage those who have stitched in the past and want to start again.
Visit DC Threads, founded in 2008 to help keep the art of sewing & stitch crafts alive and well in the District of Columbia. The DC Threads website and the monthly sewing lounge offer resources for local sewing enthusiasts to learn more about their craft and share skills with others. Our mission is to find opportunities and places for young and old, experienced and novice to learn and/or teach about sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and more! Create garments and other handmade objects - together.
'Stitching for Change'is a program for stitchers, young and old, interested in using sewing and stitching for change – personally, locally, globally. We will gather to create garments and objects for ourselves while stitching for others in need of assistance and affection. Check out the "Project Info and Links" below for examples of some of the projects we will work on this year. If you have other ideas please, please send them our way.

I have some questions:
1. How did I not get a picture with you?
2. You do know you were the best dressed person at the party, right?
3. You should only shop for shoes while trashed. Them heels was fierce! (not technically a question)
4. Emilio or Seth Aron?

I'm so jealous!!!!! Have a ball, maybe you can come back and do a class for the Guild.
You will have THE BEST time! I took this class last year and it was worth every penny.
